Your winter garment care checklist

Corinna and Theresa Williams enter a store wearing chic winter outfits

Chilly temperatures call for cozy blankets, fuzzy accessories and your warmest sweaters and outerwear. Here's a checklist of simple things you can do to feel your best and stay comfy all season long.

✔️ Go for bold

Winter wardrobes tend to skew towards darker colors like black, charcoal and navy. Consider adding a statement piece to your outfits—like a neon beanie or a bright scarf—to help combat the winter blues! In between washes, freshen up your go-to accessories with homemade linen spray or a steamer.

✔️ Say bye to lint

Puffer coats, wool blazers and pea coats can be magnets for lint and pet hair 😦 but a quick once-over with a lint remover will have you looking spiffy in no time. We love Steamery's lint remover, which doesn't require single-use sticky sheets. Keep one in your closet, car and office.

✔️ Treat your coats to a steam

Speaking of coats, it's nice to give them a quick steam after a few wears (and in between washes) to kill germs and remove odors. Use a steamer like the Cirrus X to freshen up your outerwear.

✔️ Hand wash investment pieces

You won't regret this! Give your super soft and warm cashmere pieces a long life with the best care. Follow our step-by-step wash guide with gifs in this blog post.

✔️ Have a zen garment care moment

Trust us when we tell you: cleaning up the surface of your sweaters and accessories is incredibly satisfying. You might even find it meditative! Our favorite tools for the task are this sweater stone and the Pilo 2 fabric shaver.

✔️ Learn a new skill
